I am delighted to see that Norfolk has been chosen by the Government as one of 75 eligible local authorities to take part in the Family Hubs and Start for Life programme in England.
The aim of the Family Hub programme is to join up and enhance services across Norfolk for constituents, ensuring all parents and carers can access the support they need when they need it, during the precious first three years of a child's life.
It means that Norfolk will receive up to £6m of funding to further develop its prevention and early help services for families with children and young people up to the age of 19 (or up to age 25 if they have special educational needs and disabilities), many of whom live in north Norwich.

The first 1,000 days of life, from conception to age 2, is a critical phase during which the foundations of a child’s development are laid. If a child’s body and brain develop well then, their life chances are improved, so I am pleased that Norfolk's parents, carers and children are set to benefit from this vital scheme.
