Chloe Smith, MP for Norwich North, will officially welcome young people to the Conservative Party Conference.

Speaking about the event Chloe said:

“It’s a real privilege to be asked to welcome young people to Conference. The Conservatives have the strongest youth movement of any party. We are currently holding a full review of how we do things in the Conservative Party and I want young people to be right at the centre of that.”

Hosted jointly by Conservative Future and the British Youth Council, the Youth Zone at Conference brings young people together from a number of organisations including Ambition; British Youth Council; Conservative Future; Construction Youth Trust; Dame Kelly Holmes Trust; Girlguiding UK; NCS Trust; O2 Think Big; Step Up To Serve; St John Ambulance; Street Games; UK Youth; UK Youth Parliament; YMCA England and Young Enterprise.

The Youth Zone is also being supported by First News, children’s newspaper; Children & Young People Now; CIPD; Beyond Youth Custody; Nacro and the Scouts.

First elected aged 27, Chloe is one of Britain’s youngest MPs and has dedicated a sizeable part of her work in Parliament to championing the interests of fellow young people. She chairs the All Party Parliamentary Groups on Youth Employment and Youth Affairs and is a patron of the YMCA working in Norwich.
