Chloe Smith to hold talks with small businesses over business rates and planning issues

Chloe Smith, Member of Parliament for Norwich North, will on Friday 10th February, be leading talks with the local branch of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) to discuss small business issues.

Chloe holds bi-annual meetings with the FSB, the focus of this meeting will be on issues small businesses are having with business rates and planning issues. Chloe with engage in talks with FSB member and other key stakeholders to discuss the concerns local businesses are facing and what can be done to help and support them. Representatives from local councils will join the meeting to answer businesses' questions

Chloe comments: "It is extremely important to understand the challenges facing small business. Planning and local issues can be as important as any national aspects. We need to help small firms grow and take people on."

Previous meeting held by Chloe and the FSB have discussed topics including the Spending Review, the Budget and bank loans and the impact these issues have had on small businesses.
