Bright Blue: What sort of future for young people?

Author: Chloe Smith, Updated: 05 October 2015 11:11

Chloe Smith, MP for Norwich North, is set to debate how best to engage young people with politics, and what future young people have to look forward to.

The event, hosted by Bright Blue, will feature columnists Shiv Malik and Owen Jones, former Conservative Future Chairman Oliver Cooper and CEO of the National Citizen Service Trust Michael Lynas.

Speaking about the event Chloe said:

“I am very much looking forward to taking part in this debate. As the governing party we need to be putting young people at the forefront of everything we do. Here in Norwich the Norwich for Jobs project has succeeding in halving youth unemployment. This is a remarkable success and one which I hope we can replicate up and down the country.”

Chloe chairs the APPGs on Youth Employment and Youth Affairs. As one of Britain’s youngest MPs, she is involved in representing young people on the Party’s ongoing review.
