Staff at Wherry Housing Association this week welcomed a visit from Chloe Smith and took the opportunity to explain how they are committed to enhancing the life chances of local residents, by providing great homes and reliable services and investing in the wider community.

Based in Norwich, the housing association, which is part of Circle Anglia, one of the UK’s leading providers of affordable housing, manages nearly 7,000 properties across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

Following a meeting with Mark Jones, Managing Director for Wherry Housing Association, Chloe was introduced to staff working within the different departments and spoke to each of them about the organisation. Speaking after the visit, Chloe said: “I’m really pleased to be able to visit Wherry so soon after being elected.  I was very impressed by the work that Wherry does to involve residents in their communities and with their aim to increase the amount of high-quality affordable housing in the area.”

Mark Jones, Managing Director of Wherry, said: “We were delighted Chloe Smith took the time to visit the Wherry offices and also attend a community event in Thorpe St. Andrew. She understands many of the challenges the sector is facing at the moment and her visit gave us the opportunity to discuss a range of issues and how they affect her constituents.”
