Norwich North pupils meet the outgoing Prime Minister with Chloe Smith MP

 

On his last day as Prime Minister, Chloe Smith MP shares photos of constituency pupils meeting David Cameron in Downing Street.

 

The pupils from George White Junior School, in Chloe’s Norwich North constituency, were at Number 10 to take part in a workshop run by the Shakespeare Schools Festival (SSF) which commemorates the 400^th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare.

 

During their visit, the pupils from George White Junior School met Chloe for a question and answer session about her work as an MP and were excited to meet with outgoing PM David Cameron. 

 

Chloe comments:

“It was a great pleasure to welcome the pupils from George White Junior School to Westminster to take part in this excellent educational workshop. It was also a very special privilege for them to meet with the Prime Minister in his last days in office. As their constituency MP and also a big theatre and Shakespeare fan, I hope they enjoyed their day!”

 

She added an offer to all schools in her constituency: 

 

“School groups often visit Parliament because the buildings are historical and inspiring.  I am offering to help every school in Norwich North organise a simple trip, and many schools in our area will be eligible for help with the costs of transport. If you’re a parent or a pupil, why not encourage your school to get in touch and run a trip your child won’t forget?”
